ABOUT
Star Kensing is a dancer, choreographer, dance educator, and NASM-certified personal trainer dedicated to building a multifaceted career in the dance and performance world. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, they trained at the George Washington Carver Center for the Arts and Technology, before moving to Boston to pursue her BFA in Commercial Dance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she will graduate in 2026.
Throughout her time at the Conservatory, Star has performed in a wide range of live productions, ensemble works, and collaborative performances with singers, bands, and student-led creative teams. Her movement training spans ballet, hip-hop, afrobeats, acro, jazz, tap, pole dance, contemporary, and modern—giving them a versatile foundation for both stage and screen.
Star began her teaching and choreography work at the Dance Conservatory at St. Paul’s School in Baltimore, where they teach dancers ages 3–18 and choreograph works for their competition team. She is also a NASM-certified personal trainer who integrates fitness knowledge into dance training, focusing on strength, longevity, and injury prevention for dancers.
Outside the studio, Star enjoys commercial weight lifting, spending time outdoors, and crocheting. Growing up in the musical theatre scene, they also developed skills in singing and acting, supporting their love for storytelling and live performance.
